These are some of the questions that folks asked when first using the NatureZap AC.

1.  How heavy is the NatureZap?
It weighs about 6 lb or 2.7 kg and since it is in the style of a cane, it can be easily used. And, you won’t have bend over ever again to weed your garden.

2.  Is there a special extension cord I need to use?
On the NatureZap AC, just use any outdoor grounded extension cord that you want to use. The NatureZap takes very little current (less than 1 amp running) that any commonly available 3-pronged cord will work to whatever distance you want.

3.  What type of weeds will it work on?
For weeds found in mulched beds, in general it will work effectively. Just don’t let them get too mature as this would be a challenge for any weed removal program. The NatureZap is very targeted, so that dandelion that just happens to grow right in the middle of your tulips can be treated without harm to the flowers or vegetables you’ve planted. For spot treatment of weeds in your lawn, the NatureZap is effective on broadleaf weeds only. So the crab grass that is growing among your Kentucky Blue, cannot be effectively treated with the NatureZap.

4.  Should I be concerned about catching my mulch or pine straw on fire?
No! NatureZap uses technology that limits the temperature below the flammability point of mulch. Now -- if you spilled some gas or oil (like from your mower that might need service or another chemical in that spot -- you will have to be aware of the operating temperature and risk of that flammable substance catching fire. If you use the NatureCut mower, it can't leak oil, gas, or any other flammable from it. Always follow the safety instructions and keep the kids away from this just like you would a curling iron, soldering gun, or any other hot item. For the geeky description and details click here.

5.  When is the best time to use the NatureZap?
Weeds are most susceptible -- like any plant -- during the stress of a sunny hot day. NatureZap -- unlike other ideas -- does not contribute to ozone pollution so feel free to use it in the heat of the day! Of course, it will work anytime during the day and even the night, but to have the fastest response, the hotter the better is the rule. Also, weeds treated late in the season, will show less signs of trauma. This is natural just like you can refrigerate flowers to store them for long periods of time. So at the end of the growing season, you may notice your weeds hanging around for a while. Don't worry; they'll be gone before you know it.
